Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a well known Health and Beauty product retailer who is currently seeking to welcome a Sales Director. This role reports directly to the CEO, the main objectives of this role are;

Responsible for the achievement, of the agreed country sales targets in stores and agreed profitability. Ensuring that the Stores reflect the highest standards of operation and customer service at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

KPA1-SALES:
KPI’s:
- Ensure the delivery of the agreed annual sales, profit and financial objectives as agreed by the Board.
- Develop and agree the sales Business Plan annually
- Set measurable (weekly/monthly/quarterly) objectives for key repartees to achieve
- Lead, guide and review performance of senior sales personnel, and implement action plans as appropriate in line with over /underperformance
- To monitor own KPI’s regularly and be aware of the current financial performance
- Develop and adopt KPI’s and retail metrics to assess store and staff productivity in order to maximize sales performance

KPA2-PEOPLE:
KPI’s:
- Ensure regular follow up and clear communication across the business on performance
- Ensure sales training programs are up to date and reflect global standards in retailing
- Ensure that everyone in senior sales team is aware of their Job Description and that each member carries out their role and responsibilities as outlined
- Manages the stores through Head of Sales and Regional Managers, ensuring space utilization in each store is maximized for sales and profit
- Work with Head of HR to define clear staffing strategy and succession planning annually for country sales teams
- Identify training needs and liaise with the HR team to support in delivering relevant, measurable, ongoing training initiatives
- Support the HR initiative of annual appraisal program .To secure current and future competency needs across the business.
- Will seek feedback from store staff and look for opportunities to improve all aspects

KPA3-MARKETING:
KPI’s:
- Together with the Brand Team agree and implement the annual Promotional Calendar

KPA4-ADMINISTRATION:
KPI’s:
- To secure that the sales teams work with store operations policies, procedures and processes as documented in the Store Retail Operations Manual
- Coordinate with all departments to ensure that new stores open on time, in budget and in an organised way.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree or Relevant Experience
- 10 years of retail sales experience, field based preferred
- A self-starter and analytical thinker and problem solver
- Analytical skill set, strong presentation skills, ability to interact with any level within the organization.
- Experience with EPoS system, excel and word
- A clear understanding of managing KPI’s
- Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
