Senior Construction Logistics Manager

The project is a major mixed-use development aiming to be a global landmark recognized for its unique vision and position as an authentic destination in Riyadh. The community will be a distinct, self-sustaining hub for Riyadh offering several iconic assets. KBR will provide Project Management Consultancy services in project planning, controls, design and engineering management, and implementation of the development and early works packages.

THE ROLE

Reports to the Project Logistics Director for the position will be singularly responsible for the project management of the Site Wide General Contracting Services (SWGCS) Contract and other logistics matters. As a dual report the position also reports to the Project Construction Director on construction matters.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project lead and focal point for project management of the Site Wide General Contracting Services contract.
- Oversees the outputs of the Construction Supervision Consultant for the Site Wide General Contracting Services Contract.
- Co-ordinates and consults with the Client Delivery Team regarding the administration of the SWGCS.
- Supports the Project Construction Director for construction logistics activities on site.
- Ensure the Contractors' logistics management plans are in line with the requirements of the Project Functional Logistics Management Plan
- Chairs the SWGCS progress and pulse meetings, gives direction to the CSC ensuring outstanding actions are closed out by the Contractor via the CSC.
- Reviews CSC outputs and approves management information and reports before submission to the Client.
- Holds regular meetings with the CSC regarding resource and equipment mobilisation. Follows up with CSC to ensure the Contractor is correctly resourced and always equipped to deliver the SWGCS.
- Liaises with the Project Planning Team to ensure any changes to the Programme schedule are carefully managed in respect to managing the SWGCS contract.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- BSc construction management, engineering, architecture or equivalent. - Minimum 15 years overall experience. - Minimum 5 years' experience ins a similar role. - Minimum 5 years of working experience in Middle east.
- Experienced managing Consultants and Contractors successfully.
- Knowledge of operational aspects of major mixed use building programme. including roads, bridges and utilities with experience in construction management and practice.
- User of MS Office, PowerPoint.
- Fluency in English language both written and spoken.
