Senior Construction Manager

Job description / Role

Senior Construction Manager (KAUST) - Thuwal, Saudi Arabia

- Report damage, accidents or unsafe working practices.
- Coordinate and evaluate with Safety team to ensure proper procedures are carried out
- Monitor project for compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations
- Manage site team to deliver construction to satisfy project requirements
- Drive Contractor and Sub-Contractors and support managing their work execution
- Direct and supervise construction activities
- Study job specifications to understand requirements and determine appropriate and safe construction methods
- Identify issues that conflict with project requirements, coordinate actions or solutions and oversee their implementation
- Contribute to the development of detailed schedule, construction and labor plans to satisfy deadlines
- Evaluate Contractors means and methods to determine cost-effectiveness and coordinate and implement solutions with Contractor to improve results
- Monitor, supervise, and implement quality control plan
- Develop effective and supportive relationships with colleagues
- Requisition of supplies and materials to complete construction projects

Requirements

- A minimum of 15-20 years demonstrated experience in building industry, or similar industry, and has project management experience on mega building/architectural projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or other applicable discipline; or an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for degree.
- Ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of engineering and construction practices and economic principles; calculation methods; design details; international codes, standards, procedures and specifications.
- Ability to demonstrate a capability to manage large complex construction projects covering residential/commercial/high rise buildings
- A Visa will required to work in KSA
- Accommodation and transport will be provided on site
- This is a 6 day working week
