Senior Construction Project Manager (Expatriate - KAUST), Thuwal, Saudi Arabia

- Coordinate with other functional managers to ensure correct implementation of the project specifications and standards Plan, coordinate, and direct the engineering, design, procurement and construction work Ensure the efficiency, quality and performance of the engineering, design, procurement and construction work to meet project objectives.
- Obtain the necessary project resources to plan and execute the work.
- Provide motivation and direction to the project team, typically through multiple project, task, and/or functional managers.
- Act as one of the company’s prime contacts with the client and is responsible for overall work progress and technical performance on the project.
- Work with project delivery leadership who provide oversight and mentoring Support the development of less experienced project managers through active coaching and mentoring.
- Lead and manage the project team through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with established project delivery processes to the meet the scope, schedule, budget and other specified requirements stated in the contract.
- Complete the scope of work to the satisfaction of the client, while simultaneously ensuring that CH2M HS&E, quality, financial, risk management; business and policy expectations are met.

Requirements

- A minimum of 20 years demonstrated experience in building industry, or similar industry, and has project management experience on mega building/architectural projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or other applicable discipline; or an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for degree.
- Ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of engineering and construction practices and economic principles; calculation methods; design details; international codes, standards, procedures and specifications.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of the business development and project delivery process Demonstrated capabilities to manage significant projects of high complexity and understand how projects impact performance.

A visa for KSA will be required.

This project is based on a 6 day work week. Accommodation will be provided on site CH2M is providing project management services for King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and the neighboring town of Thuwal in Saudi Arabia on a four-year plus contract. Situated on the scenic Red Sea an hour north of the second largest Saudi Arabian city and seaport, Jeddah; KAUST is a truly spectacular facility, and is slated to become a major center of research, training the next generation of scientists, engineers and technologists in the Middle East.
