Job description / Role
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an emerging market and the business is looking to capitalize on this rapidly expanding unit in the country. EC Harris is looking for Quantum experts who to join at a Senior Consultant work across multiple projects across the Kingdom.
The Senior Consultant would come from a cost and commercial (quantity surveying) background, having worked on the client side or in a consultancy. The ideal candidate would act as an expert for all quantum dispute matters on a project.
- Liaise wit Delay Experts to understand the delays that have occurred and incorporate them into reports
- Produce quality claims documents
- Research and interrogate site-based records and data to establish the facts
- Identification and calculations of additional direct costs with claimed events and prolongation costs for EOTs
- Liaise with Delay Analyst/Project Team to understand the events that have occurred and the affiliated costs of each activity/event
- Play a vital role in the preparation of EOT claims and providing advice
- Advise the client/project team on introductory interpretations and missing item disputes
Requirements
- Bachelors in Quantity Surveying/Engineering/Project Management; Post Graduate in Construction Law or Arbitration
- Membership of an professional institute such as RICS, CICES, CIArb or CIOB
- Minimum 15 years post-graduate experience
- Experience with a specialist claims consultancy is an added advantage
- Must be capable of working independently and in a team
- Hands-on experience in dealing with the commercial aspects of the construction process
- Experience in delivering projects on-site
- Solid understanding of commonly used contracts in the industry
