Job Title: Senior Dental Laboratory Technologist

Summary:
Responsible for the design and fabrication of prosthodontics devices (dentures and partals), crown and bridges, IntraOral, Extra-Oral maxillofacial, maxillofacial prosthetic devices (orbital, eyes, ears, noses, digits etc.), in addition to obturators and surgical appliances. Ability to perfrm restoration building process, including but not limited to Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Milling (CAM), Model + Die, Wax, Finish, Implants, Stain & Glaze, and all forms of Ceramic restoration techniques. Meets established standards. Support and upholds goals and objectives of the Dental Laboratory, Dental Clinic and Hospital administration.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Performs all functions of the Dental Laborator Technologist as directed.
2. Fabricates Fixed and Removable prosthesis using accepted techniques and procedures and as experience and capabilities permit.
3. Uses Scanners and dental CAD CAM Dental design for Crown & Bridge and Dental Implant.
4. Produces and designs Dental Implant crowns and bridges for both fixed and removable restorations.
5. Produces Implant restorations with maxillofacial prosthesis.
6. Uses CAD/CAM system for the fabrication of all-ceramic dental restorations, including 3-Dimensional modelling, scanning and design abutments for implants. Digitizes and analyses exact anatomic data, uses the softwe to add the modifications that transform the digital replica of the prosthesis, handles and files work orders.

9. Assists in providing and maintaining a high standard of quality control on work produced in the assigned section of the Dental Laboratory.
10. Assists to develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures, goals and objectives, performance improvement programs, safety and environmental policies, and infection control policies.
11. Provides training to Dental Laborator staff, SCDP partcipants, internship students and student trainees as required and requested by the Dental Laborator Manager.
12. Receives training in other Dental Laboratory techniques and procedures as required.
13. Assists in introducing and evaluating new and state of the art technology in the Dental Laboratory field.
14. Consults with staff dentists regarding design, set-up or fittings of devices.
15. Assures adequate inventor of supplies and equipment as necessary.
16. Assists other Dental Laboratory personnel as required and as directed by the Dental Laboratory Manager.
17. Maintains complete and accurate records of all work perfrmed.
18. Participates in Self & Hospital's quality improvement plan preferred.
19. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
20. Partcipates in self and others' education, training and development, as applicable.
21. Performs any other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Educations:
Bachelor's Degree (for Saudi Nationals) in Dental Laboratory Technology program, or graduate from a recognized program of education in Dental Laboratory Technology.

Experience Required
Six (6) years of experience in Dental Laboratory, must be capable of fabricating all Dental
Laboratory prosthesis with an expertise in at least 3 to 4 sections of the Dental Laboratory required.
