Senior Design Manager

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Manager to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the design team, managing projects, and ensuring the successful delivery of design solutions. The Senior Design Manager will play a key role in driving innovation, creativity, and excellence in design within our organization.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to team members
- Oversee the design process from concept development to final delivery, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and product management to align design strategies with overall business objectives
- Develop and implement design standards, best practices, and processes to optimize efficiency and quality of design deliverables
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and discussions to understand design requirements and provide expert design recommendations
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, technologies, and tools to continuously improve the design capabilities of the team
- Contribute to the strategic planning and vision of the design department, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion

Requirements

- 20 to 30 years of experience in a senior design management role, preferably within the architectural, engineering, or construction industry.
- Worked before on luxury hotels or residential buildings.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a creative team
- Excellent project management abilities with a track record of successfully delivering complex design projects on time and within budget
- In-depth knowledge of design principles, techniques, and tools, with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities to drive innovation and continuous improvement in design processes
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in design, architecture, engineering, or a related field
