Responsible for conducting macroeconomic and sector research, with a focus on driving business results and development impact in the Kingdom. The senior economist also serves as a program manager and external research coordinator. Working with the Chief Economist and investment strategists.

Senior Economist , Semi-government, Riyadh,KSA

• Working with a team of economists, the senior economist is responsible for developing global, regional, and Saudi specific forecasts and analysis of market dynamics at sector and industry levels, drawing on expertise and making independent judgements in a fast-moving environment.
• Working with the Chief Economist, organize, coordinate, and communicate activities, within the entity and external organizations.
• As the program manager, the senior economist is responsible for setting agenda, hosting meetings, action items follow up, and review of deliverables.
• Conduct quantitative research on the contribution of the entity's investments to economic growth, private sector development, and economic/transformation in the Kingdom in particular. Work with economists from the entity's other departments to conduct impact assessment of the entity's investments.
• Contribute to policy debate regarding macro and sector reform in the Kingdom.
• Work with the strategists in Division to identify strategic investment opportunities in various sectors around the world and in particular in KSA.

Requirements

Education:
• Advanced Degree in Economics or related fields such as Finance or Business.

Experience:
• Three to ten years of professional experience in economic research and policy analysis in a governmental, consulting, or industry setting.
• Experience in managing projects and coordinating multiple programs.
• Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following sectors are strongly preferred: infrastructure, tourism, manufacturing, and technology.

Skills:
• Ability to conduct econometric analysis or other applied quantitative methods, with software such as Eviews, R, and Stata.
• Highly motivated and responsible self-starter.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills, including with non-technical audiences. Strong organizational skills and solid teamwork.

Language Requirements:
• Excellent English skills, Arabic language skills strongly preferred but not required
