Job description / Role
Purpose: To manage and keep the wells, water treatment plants, pumping systems, boilers and reticulation systems within the division in good mechanical order and ensure that it is of sufficient capacity to meet the demands of the division by optimizing the existing facilities and sourcing the best appropriate technology.
- Manage the operation, maintenance and inspection of all wells, water treatment equipment, boilers and reticulation systems at intervals as agreed with the Divisional Eng. Manager and prevent the loss of production due to any breakdown of water treatment plants at any site
- Ensure the design and recommendations are the most suitable equipment for the present and future needs.
- Plan and ensure that all staff are organised, trained and carry their functions in accordance with procedures, programmes and safety policies.
Requirements
- Must have at least 15 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in water systems
- Must have experience in water systems
- Must have startup experience both commissioning, installation, design and housing.
- Must have a Mechanical or Agricultural degree.
