Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Legal Advisory
- Advise on day-to-day commercial transactions and business undertakings.
- Advise on commercial/corporate and labor issues.
- Keep local management apprised of significant legal and corporate developments and trends in support of Company’s business.
- Monitor changes and developments in the legal and regulatory environment within KSA, advise management and develop appropriate strategies.
- Provide advice and legal support on application and maintenance of all authorizations, permits, licenses, contracts and communication needed for local operations.
- Identify the needs of the business, research the legal risks faced by the business and ensure adequate policies are in place and current at all times.
- Provide legal insight and guidance to the Executive Management team.
- Interpret laws, rulings and regulations impacting the company and advise the business as appropriate.

Litigation
- Supervise and manage external legal counsel and legal expenditure.
- Using a combination of internal efforts and/or 3rd party law firms, manage to successful resolution all legal cases in which company might be involved.
- Initiate, defend, negotiate, settle and manage all litigation, disputes and actions arising from business operations, including adverse reaction claims and regulatory challenges.
- Advise on sensitive personnel situations, prepare and review legal documentation as required, e.g. employment and separation agreements, releases, etc.

Contracts &Documentations
- Drafting and negotiating business development and sales-related agreements, licensing, partnership and other commercial agreements.
- Provide support to internal stakeholders to review and negotiate contracts both large and small, in a timely fashion, as needed.
- Continuance review of all existing contracts and assess risk associated to them and advise business accordingly

Legal Research & Investigation
- Provides legal counsel and guidance on all legal matters, including labor law, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, and laws pertaining to transactions, contracts and grants, zakat matters, worker's compensation, liability and business matters, public monies and purchases, affirmative action, and other laws and regulations.
- Support investigations in collaboration with Investigations and Security, support Audits where needed and coordinate with other relevant stakeholders and functions in taking practical remediation measures.
- Maintain a complete understanding of rights to which company is legally entitled in the marketplace, monitor marketplace for violations of company’s rights, and implement all business processes necessary to proactively take legal action against entities violating company’s rights in the marketplace.
- Conduct research and analysis on a variety of legal issues.

External Legal Compliance
- Maintain continually up-to-date understanding of all laws which company must be compliant with now and in the future and implement all business processes necessary to ensure timely company-wide compliance with such laws.
- Prepare and review communication with external parties, including and not limited to the government, industry association and the public in relation to healthcare legislations/policies.
- Review and provide input into results of the annual compliance risk assessment and proposed remediation actions.

Team Management
- Manage and constantly review individual performance.
- Provide regular feedback, coaching and development.
- Motivate, empower and enable direct reportees by providing the necessary tools and support required to achieve the organizational development objectives.
- Providing leadership and on-going training and development to create a positive team environment.
- Provide leadership, professional guidance and directions to the assigned team members. •
- Preparing KPIs for the team performance.
- Facilitate goal setting, manage and constantly review individual performance. •
- Build the capabilities of the team members.

Requirements

- Masters in Corporate Law or KSA Law Degree by a recognized law school in the KSA /Abroad
- 10 - 15 years of relevant experience
- Financial Services industry experience would be preferable
- Strong leadership skills
- Profound knowledge and experience with Laws & Regulations
- High Arabic language skills in legal writing.
- Excellent English and Arabic oral and written communication skills
- Independent thinking
