We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Senior Managers to help develop our Financial Services Wealth & Asset Management Tax practice in Riyadh, Dubai, Qatar and Kuwait.

As a Senior Manager within this team you will play a major role in go-to market strategies, delivering tax advisory and compliance work for clients in the financial services (FS) sector.

A significant part of the role will focus on supporting the partner group with building out the tax practice, building strong client relationships within the current and target client base. Working in practice means that the job is, by its nature, different every day and we want someone who is actively looking for this challenge. An agile approach to working with different projects and people is therefore essential.

You'll lead presentations and proposals for projects - or elements of highly-complex projects - and provide subject matter insight to bids and proposals.

Drawing on your skills and experience, you'll create innovative commercial insights for clients. You'll also adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership. You'll package overall project findings into clear, concise, high-quality work products. Bringing experience and unique insight on one or more services, you'll use your knowledge and experience to shape services to client problems.

Driving improvements in business processes, you'll serve as a role model for quality and risk management and confirm that project teams understand and comply with EY guidelines. As a respected senior professional, you'll communicate effectively with EY engagement partners and managers and work to build, manage and motivate high-performing teams. You'll also help our staff to build sustainable competencies.

Skills requirements
- ACA / ACCA / CA or equivalent qualification (or breadth of knowledge equivalent);
- Hands on experience in FATCA, transfer pricing with FS focus, operational tax issues
- Relevant tax experience in banking/capital markets at a commercial bank with a well-developed credit risk management infrastructure
- Comparable experience in working as an advisor to a financial services company
- Good understanding of OECD and BEPS guidelines
- A thorough understanding of MENA corporate tax and zakat matters;
- An enthusiastic attitude and flexible approach to work;
- Experience of working in a compliance and reporting environment, either within practice or industry;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with current and potential clients;
- Project management experience;
- A commitment to deliver results;
- The ability to motivate a team; manage, mentor and train junior staff and work with people from across the business;
- Fluent in English and/or Arabic; additional language skills will be considered as an asset.

Requirements

In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrate a breadth of experience and a depth of understanding of complex FS products.
- Tax services on FS tax matters such as FATCA, transfer pricing, advisory services
- Client liaison abilities
- Ensuring the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical/business driven approach;
- Managing the end to end process for the clients in your portfolio, which will include opportunity identification right through to delivery;
- Building strong client relationships for current and target clients;
- Working with a wide range of people across the global practice to manage deadlines and deliver work efficiently;
- Working with clients to identify relevant tax opportunities; providing insightful, industry specific advice on a range of tax issues;
- Proactively supporting the partner team in expanding the current client base.
- Develop internal relationships within our international network with other EY Tax and financial professionals.

People responsibilities

- Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback
- Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training
- Contribute to an educational program to continually develop interpersonal and technical skills of staff
