The EY Clean Energy and Sustainability Services Team in MENA is actively looking for an experienced, strategic and client focused HSE professional with a significant, proven track record in establishing and assessing processes for the management of HSE risk and adding value across diverse, complex organisations in a wide range of industrial sectors.

If you have significant commercial/consulting experience in the following areas, we want to hear from you:
- Developing and implementing HSE strategy, processes and standards
- Challenging and supporting Boards and management in driving improved HSE performance
- Identifying and managing HSE risk
- Managing HSE risk through transactions (M&As, IPOs etc.)
- Implementing HSE assurance and compliance programmes across the three lines of defence
- Delivering a strong HSE culture in high-risk environments
- Enhancing HSE competence to deliver and learn the lessons of past HSE failures

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead relationships with large corporate accounts and establish a strong revenue stream from HSE risk services
- Build a market leading team capable of providing board level strategic HSE advice and winning large engagements that leverage the wider competencies of EY
- Raise EY's profile in the HSE risk management debate and maintain external relationships within industry and government bodies

Requirements

- 10+ years of experience in a position focused on HSE with a consulting firm / industry with business development and sales exposure
- Strong knowledge and experience of OSHAS 18000 & ISO 14001 and standards and management systems,
- Proven track record of business development and project delivery - in particular large scale consulting engagements around HSE
- Experience in engaging at board level and demonstrating how HSE management can create and deliver value for businesses
- Experience in developing and delivering HSE strategies and information systems (Energy sector experience is strongly desirable)
- Ability to quickly understand complex issues and develop clear tactical actions to ensure regulatory compliance and continual performance improvement
- Exceptional commercial and leadership skills combined with an entrepreneurial mind set
- Existing network of relationships with business leaders across industries most active in addressing HSE risks and challenges
- Skilled at building teams and motivating employees to excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team and environment
- Excellent communication, persuasion, analytical and implementation skills
- Flexible in attitude to deal with GCC mindset
- Preference is for candidates with formal HSE qualifications
