Job description / Role
- Prepare and present plans for high profile projects.
- Manage and direct consultants and support services to meet required schedules and objectives.
- Maintain and manage budgets and financial expenditures associated with the MEP elements of the project.
- Provide leadership to MEP team members.
- Prepare tight scope of work documents for the selection and engagement of consultants and contractors.
- Ensure timely authority submitting and approvals for all MEP works.
- To ensure cost efficient design meeting forecasted budgets.
- To apply value engineering approach wherever possible.
- Well versed with international specifications and standards
- In depth knowledge of related Codes, Norms, and local Technical and Governmental Regulations.
- Ability to handle all phases of a project from conceptual design to engineering, procurement and construction
- Ability to bridge gap and mediate between the client, engineering and construction team including subcontractors and 3rd parties
- Ability to manage the constraints of the project like Cost, Time, HSE, Quality, etc
- Must have in-depth understanding of commercial side of the MEP business.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 10-15 years experience in MEP and experience in gulf region is preferable..
- Experience in managing MEP engineering for Infrastructure and mix use is essential.
- Fluency in English both in writing and speaking, Arabic knowledge is a plus .
