Job description / Role
- Be ready to work on 24x7 rotational shifts
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members to meet deadlines
- Make sure that assigned roles during the shift are performed as required
- Take Ownership of High visibility / Impact outages and drive it to resolution
- Perform analysis of Incidents that triggers Problem and resolve accordingly
- Participate in Daily Operations and Change Review Meetings as required
- Oracle Database Admin certification would be plus
- ITIL knowledge is must
Requirements
- Overall 6-8 years of experience in oracle database administration
- Good understanding of AIX/Linux/Solaris operating system and oracle database
- Handling all L1/L2 Incidents and Service Requests
- Database Space/Storage Management
- System and Database Performance Monitoring
- Backup – Execution and Monitoring
- Start-up/Shutdown
- User Management
- Administer Database Object Privileges
- Administer Production Data Access
- Administer Schema Access
- Problem Resolution ( DBMS)
- Database Object Performance/ Monitor/Tuning
- Create/Maintain/Execute Public DBMS Objects
- Transfer L3 tickets to STC DBA L3 SME team
- Escalations to vendor support
