WSP Middle East are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager (Buildings) to join an on-going mixed-use development in NEOM, Saudi Arabia.

Reporting to the Development Delivery Director, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting the management of the Proponent delivery team. You will take the lead role in all civil and structural deliverables to oversee the works on behalf of the Proponent to validate the works being undertaken by the Projects team. The candidate will oversee a small team reporting on all daily activities and supporting the wider project team.

Your new role, what's involved?
* Lead and manage the civil and structure team, with focus on the successful and timely project execution.
* Provide support, expertise, and contribution with regards to civil/ structural matters.
* Ensure compliance of the civil and structure engineering deliverables to Client and project requirements.
* Ensure consistency of civil and structure engineering studies between the different Work Packages.
* Conduct studies/ reports as required leading to technical decision making and issue recommendation to the Delivery Director.
* Support, prepare and participate in technical reviews, provide suggestions, and ensure when approved timely implementation of the findings.
* Ensure regular internal and external professional reporting, highlighting critical issues and proposing remedial actions.
* Compliance with Authority standards and specifications current design standards and working practices.
* Participate in site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to inform project decision-making.
* Attending stakeholder and project meetings where required.

Competencies:
* Capable of analysing, assessing, evaluating issues, and complexities pertaining to projects/work packages and support the team in mitigating them in advance.
* Rigorous attention to detail, able to understand and adopt workflows such as Chairing meetings / attending meetings and providing subsequent detailed documentation.
* Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
* Experienced with local and international guidelines/standards/codes and technical specifications.
* Ability to make decisions independently and strong problem resolutions skills.
* Strong team working capabilities, committed to working with all levels of management on a daily and ongoing basis.
* Proactive, working effectively in coordinating activities and complex tasks, taking professional responsibility and ownership.
* Understands the Financial aspects and fiscal make up of a development

Requirements

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable international university.
* Minimum 20 years buildings experience with at least 5 years work in the UAE or GCC in a similar position in Civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure and construction projects.
* Significant, established, and practical skill and experience across concept design, detailed design, and construction stages.
* Heavy civil engineering structures, including reinforced concrete and structural steel, and familiarity with current design standards and working practices.
* Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
* Strong Team player.
* Has a "can do "aptitude.
* Ideally has been a PMC or Owner's representative
