Senior Translator

Job description / Role

- Perform translation and interpreting in both Arabic and English for a wide variety of technical and other business literature.
- Write and review letters for the signature of the Management and assist in formulating clear and strong Company's positions on issues addressed to external agencies.
- Assist with maintaining a correspondence system that meets all Company requirements using salient measures and standards applicable in the industry.
- Provide relevant support services that allow organizational functions to run and operate efficiently.
- Perform authentic translation and interpretation from Arabic into English and vice-versa.
- Contribute to professional correspondence and business writing by following the writing, editing, proofing and other language services standards.
- Provide and organize highly reliable support and administrative services.
- Compile and maintain a glossary of terms, English and Arabic, used most often in SATORP's correspondence, advertising, press releases, and other written materials.
- Assist, as requested, in drafting correspondence/documents where a high degree of accuracy and linguistic skill is deemed necessary
- Forward all translated documents to relevant employees for review; amend translated documents in line with reviewer feedback/edits; prepare progress reports on translation jobs (pending and completed) and forward to relevant employees.
- Conduct research on translation support tools (programs, courses and techniques).
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor Correspondence and Translation

Requirements

Education Background:

- Bachelor's Degree in English Literature or equivalent.
- Four (4) years of related experience.
