Job description / Role
Shift Charge Engineer - KSA
Salary: $20,000 - $24,000 per annum + accommodation + medical + flights
Our client, a major player in the power industry, is currently looking for a Shift Charge Engineer for a combined heat and power plant in Saudi Arabia. The plant is a large CHP plant (approximately 300-400MW) and the ideal candidate will have experience in a similar type of power plant.
Duties include:
* Supervise, control and co-ordinate plant operations activities to ensure timely and effective plant production in accordance with established schedules, quality, cost, and time objectives
* Administer and oversee adherence to plant safety
* Follow pre-set schedules to fulfil availability targets
* Co-ordinate plant activities with other departments during shifts
* Preparation of accident / incident reports
* Control of auxiliary systems
* Train, direct and supervise plant personnel
* Control processes and electrical distribution through DCS and other devices
* Oversee performance and supervise plant personnel during operations activities
Requirements
* Be degree qualified (BSc or above) in an engineering subject
* Have experience in operating a CHP plant as a Shift Charge Engineer
* Have experience with plant control systems i.e. DCS
* Be a strong leader capable of training and supporting the operations team
