Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Job description / Role

A multinational company is looking for a dynamic and talented individual to join the team in Khobar, KSA to handle the post of Shipping/Receiving Clerk.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives incoming materials and compares information on packing list with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment.
- Examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and communicate with supplier/forwarder to rectify damages and shortages
- Keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments
- Prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records.
- Determines most economical and efficient shipping method.
- Packs items to ensure safe delivery.
- Prepares delivery notes; checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct
- Continuously identify, measure, and improve processes.
- Take inventory of the warehouse
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records.
- Support the company's internal and external Logistics issues.
- Basic knowledge of Saudi import regulations.

Requirements

- Ability to maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and accuracy in all department areas and functions.
- Minimum three years experience in store management.
- Strong data entry, proofreading, and filing skills.
- Knowledge of packing materials and shipping requirements.
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
