Solutions Architect

Job description / Role

We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect based in Riyadh to bring on-board their enthusiasm and experience in helping us pursue new business opportunities, leading complex client engagements and defining solution architectures that are relevant for implementing my client Solutions for our customers and partner.

In this role you will act as a vital bridge between customers and our business development, R&D, professional services, and implementation teams. A balanced mix of technical and business skills is essential, as is versatility.

Our Solutions Architects work on exciting new technologies that span concepts like Big Data, Network Analysis, Crime Analytics etc on stimulating engagements with government, law enforcement and financial services client engagements.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide oversight, direction and guidance to my client Sales and Services teams in pre-sales, solution design and solution implementation
- Script compelling product demonstrations based on specific client issues and available data sources;
- Scope solutions, build enthusiasm and keep things moving with the customer
- Code in Python or .Net or R, and create XML interfaces to demonstrate the concept to the client as well as to the teams internally
- Develop and execute a solution roadmap and the architecture for implementing the concepts & solutions that were presented during the sales process.
- Be able to operate comfortably with senior executive teams including the C-level executives within My client as well as with clients executives
- Work with the marketing team to map product capabilities to market interests and translate dense product architecture concepts into more easily digestible client-facing material
- Assist in partnership engagements by identifying opportunities for product enhancement and understanding high level technical requirements for product integration
- Maintain awareness of market requirements for software procurement and be able to map product architecture to system and security requirements and assist in drafting RFP and RFI responses

Requirements

- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
- Experience in pre-sales demos and client facing demos

Technical Capabilities (as many as possible):
- Capable of designing end to end solutions and providing governance for the overall design
- Possess a broad knowledge of solution areas such as data transformation and migration, security, business analysis, applications, integration and infrastructure, service management, including trends in the current marketplace and understands how these interact to arrive at a solution.
- Familiarity with business and technical concepts such as business process design, modelling languages such as UML, service management, applications, servers, networks and security (both technical and process).
- Ideally, interest or experience in machine learning, text mining, network analytics, meta data models, highly scalable database applications, statistical inference
- Self-starters: comfortable with autonomy and have the ability to openly communicate with anyone throughout the organization
- Flexible: willingness to stretch beyond the typical Solutions Architecture function
- Personable: comfortable initiating relationships with prospective clients or partner opportunities
- Strong people skills – both with customers and colleagues
- Ability to travel to customer sites and occasional trips globally for training or select engagements
