Our client is a high net worth individual who is launching and expanding a retail chain of leading niche perfumes to the Middle East markets with brands such as is By Kilian and Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Their first retail store is in Riyadh and opens in October 2013 and another two are scheduled for launch by 2016. The Owner now seeks a Store Manager to join her company from the ground floor to assist her in launching the first Retail Store and expanding the chain.

Reporting to the Business Owner, the proven performer we seek will be responsible for management of the store including the following:

Service
- To ensure that excellent customer service is being delivered at all times by yourself and the team.
- Ensuring that customer complaints, refunds and general sales are dealt with in a timely manner
- To be a role model in store, display a professional image to our team, customers, suppliers and visitors
- To be accountable for your own, and the teams, product knowledge to ensure that product knowledge is shared effectively within the team

People
- To motivate and manage the team in all areas of the stores trading.
- Ensure all training requirements are maintained within company time frames
- To ensure that all team members are aware of the business aims of the Company, the store’s objectives, sales targets and the contribution that they are expected to make towards them. Continue to proactively evaluate these aims and objectives.
- Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

Management
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- To be accountable for the store inventory and stock management and the shrink target, ensuring that there is effective communication within the team in relation to this.
- Performance management of staff including store staff job results though coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
- To be accountable for Health and Safety in the store ensuring company procedures are followed at all times
- To be accountable for all operational standards in store, to regularly audit this to ensure compliance by all team members to company expectations

Brand & Promotions
- To ensure the store is always looking presentable and that the promotions and merchandising are in line with company standards and store requirements.
- Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities.
- Markets merchandise by studying advertising, sales promotion, and display plans; analyzing operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
- To be accountable for the stores security and to ensure that the company’s cash and banking procedures are followed at all times.
- Have a strong awareness of competitor activity and ensure that expectations surrounding company confidentiality.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Retail Management or similar preferred.
- Experience in selling high brand perfumes within the GCC and managing a team in a retail environment.
- Be a proven advocate in delivering excellent customer service.
- Experience in managing sales target and sales teams including rosters.
- Key is a bubbly personality and understands the retail culture within Saudi Arabia.
- To have a flexible approach to working hours in line with the retail demands
- Trilingual in Arabic, English and French
