The EY Clean Energy and Sustainability Services Team in MENA is actively looking for a market-facing junior associate to join our Climate Change & Sustainability team, helping clients to develop their strategy, including approaches to sustainable procurement, sustainability digitization, carbon measurement and management, resource efficiency, business model innovation, program and risk management, sustainability reporting and verification.

Key Responsibilities:
- Advise EY's clients on sustainability related services
- Maintain a strong client focus across multiple client engagement teams, sharing responsibility, providing support, developing relationships and maintaining communication with senior team members.
- Perform sustainability-related audit procedures; evaluate and test processes and related controls; participate in client meetings and assist in preparation of reports.
- Highlight potential opportunities for new engagements. Seek, develop and present ideas to apply EY's services.
- Gather, analyse and distribute sustainability intelligence to our clients and the practice

Requirements

- 1-2 years of relevant work experience, for example applying audit and analytical techniques in relation to non-financial performance information, including environmental data
- Ideally experience in large organizations in the field of Sustainability strategy and implementation. Prior consulting experience an advantage
- Understanding of the key sustainability issues and how they link to business value
- Strong commercial skills - an entrepreneurial mind set and good understanding of business processes
- Strong technical, quantitative and analytical skills
- Ability to think laterally and adapt previous experience and solutions to new projects
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team and environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Flexible in attitude to deal with GCC mindset
- Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, for example engineering or environmental science
- Relevant professional qualifications an advantage
