Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose: To provide a wide range of corporate tax advisory services to a large portfolio of clients. Managing the client and their expectations whilst providing strong and clear management in terms of service/product delivery, risk management and financial aspects of tax engagements

Main Responsibilities:

Tax
- Answer tax related questions and understand highly complex tax related problems.
- Conduct confidential relations with clients, tax authorities and auditors.
- Effectively manage relationships with the relevant local & foreign tax authorities.
- Explain tax requirements in the context of the provision of tax advice.
- Interpret the complete spectrum of local tax laws.
- Make complex recommendations regarding tax solutions.
- Manage the administration of tax matters on behalf of clients, including tax compliance procedures.
- Manage the maintenance of essential tax records, reports & files.
- Effectively manage tax assignments, tax team, deliverables, risk and financial aspects of various tax assignments.
- Prepare clear, sound, accurate reports containing tax opinions, findings, conclusions & recommendations.
- Ensuring that the engagement is compliant with firm-wide risk management procedures.

Management
- Providing leadership and direction to designated team.
- Mentoring and guiding junior employees.
- Providing feedback on performance of the tax team to senior management.
- Supervising and coaching junior members of staff to help them realize their full potential.
- Keeping managers and partners up to date with the progress of your team

Client Management
- Acting as a first choice point of contact for clients and managing project costs, raising fees and agreeing dates for cash collection.
- Building strong relationships with clients and actively engage in business development initiatives, including preparing for and presenting tax seminars, training and lectures.
- Drafting key documents, opinions, advices and presentations and presenting to clients.
- Keeping up to date with firm’s product and service offerings and identifying the sales opportunities that will help us grow our audit / tax / advisory work.
- Building the reputation of firm through quality of work, knowledge and experience

Requirements

- Graduate with a GPA of 2.5 / 4 or above, preferably in an Accounting, Finance or Law related degree.
- 5 to 7 Years relevant work experience.
- Qualified Accountant or Tax Lawyer
