Transport Engineer - Airports

Job description / Role

Our client is a leading Saudi Consultancy based in Jeddah with projects all over Saudi Arabia. They are urgently in need of a Transport Systems Engineer for an Airport project. Candidate must have airport experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Simulating transport problems using computer models, and working out solutions.
- Forecasting the impact of new developments.
- Evaluate plans and proposals drafted by other engineers and make changes if necessary.
- oversee plans with contractors and calculate the overall costs for a project for transport systems.
- Provide technical assistance and quality control oversight on aspects of transportation for the airport.
- Perform analysis of predominant wind direction to determine runway orientation.
- Determine the size of runway border and safety areas.
- Different wing tip to wing tip clearances for all gates and must designate the clear zones in the entire port.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- Arabic speakers preferred.
- Must have previous experience on airport projects.
- Previous KSA experience preferred.
- Candidates with transferable Iqama preferred.
