Vendor Operations Manager

Job description / Role

- To maintain the ASP Vendor Inventory / database for the projects
- Management of the global inventory of vendors.
- Managing vendor relationships, Perform vendor stratification - classification and consolidation,
- Perform cost and performance benchmarking,
- Formalizing and documenting the process.
- Better alignment of cost saving & standard operational procedure design for global effectiveness.
- Interface with the regions on ASP Performance
- Reports and maintain a Performance dashboard on a monthly & quarterly basis.
- Measurement of the performance on a global level to ensure better alignment of services offered to our customers.
- Liaise with Client Regional Operations / Sourcing towards improvement and optimization of ASP Vendor performance.
- Sharing best practices between regions
- Ensure sourcing has the right contract template for ASPs, supervising criteria of choice and ASP chosen
- Be the expert on ASP management providing guidance, coordination and reference documentation for all to use, establish a more robust interlock and process with global teams to achieve the business objectives on ASP front.

Requirements

- Education to degree standard in a business or technical discipline
- Should be completely competent in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word.
- A minimum of 5-6 years experience in customer service environment supporting globally.
- Previous exposure to project management fundamentals.
- Knowledge and experience in Field Operations is essential, Vendor Management skills preferred.
- Virtual Team Management Experience in project or operational management environments
- Must be able to work autonomously in an international environment, making decisions on day-to-day actions and be able to derive strategy with senior management for ASP management
- Should have a good awareness on regional telecommunications business , network service provider and Field Operations.
- Possess good understanding of telecommunications / network terminology. Good command of Network
- Must be able to translate customer service promises into specifications and actions to actively improve vendors, or similar situation
- Must possess the project management skills required to effectively administer regularly scheduled performance evaluations and ongoing, timely review of ASP vendor performance metrics.
- Must possess change management skills that allow them to embrace and exploit new opportunities and not simply accept the status quo.
- Must have knowledge of operational performance and financial performance metrics of Vendors, or similar, proven experience
- Must have strong business analysis, process and tools skills
