Our client is a leading conglomerate of companies in the GCC who currently seek to appoint a Vice President – Human Resources for their Building Products Group of companies. This role is of a strategic nature and is responsible to provide strategic human resource advisory services across 10 companies within the Group to achieve strategic and commercial outcomes. This role focuses on the development and implementation of Corporate Human Resource strategy and programs as well as leadership of the corporate human resource function. This role will be based in Jeddah.

Reporting to the Group CEO and managing a team of 10 staff, the strategic HR professional we seek for this role will be responsible to:
- Direct, lead and management of a multi-disciplined human resource team sector to ensure organization HR targets are met and delivered.
- Development and implementation of HR and Change Management programs and initiatives, that support organisational strategic objectives and drive best practice services and solutions,
- Management and leadership of the change management process with the senior management team including the maintenance of morale of staff and managing the impacts of uncertainty and change.
- Support Sector CEO and various President across the group to cascade performance evaluation throughout the organization.
- Support management for recruitment of senior managers.
- Create company strategic training and organizational development plan to meet personal, professional, and organizational needs of company employees.
- Oversee compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels.
- Oversee the design and development of compensation strategy and programs.
- Direct the administration of benefit programs to include: health, retirement, death, disability, and unemployment.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to benefit programs.
- Evaluate procedures and technology solutions to improve human resources data management.
- Recommend and maintain an organizational structure and staffing levels to accomplish company goals and objectives.
- Evaluate company culture and provide recommendations on changes to accomplish company goals and objectives.
- Evaluate and recommend human resource outsourcing opportunities and identify potential vendors.
- Develop and manage annual budgets for the division and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses.
- Review Sector HR policies and procedures.

Requirements

- Degree in Human Resources and/or Commerce with a Masters being high desirable. A minimum of 15 years’ human resource experience and at least 10 years’ experience in strategic HR is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years industry experience in the building product or construction sector would be highly regarded.
- Candidates with experience in the GCC will be considerable most favourably.
- Strong leadership abilities with superior communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
- Strong analytic and decision making abilities.
- Must be a team player and able to work with and through others to gain commercial outcomes.
- Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
- Experience with large-scale organizational change effort.
- Bilingual language skills in English and Arabic are essential.
- Strong and communication skills are essential as candidates must present at Board Level and possess strong commercial acumen.
