Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

* Initiate and execute new products and investment initiatives in accordance with the client's Investment policies and procedures.
* Identify, analyze and monitor investment opportunities by providing strong financial models, detailed market research

Client Details

My client operates as an investment banking and asset management firm. The Company offers fiduciary investment advisory, portfolio management, brokerage, and market research services.

Description

* Lead the development and execution of the new products and investment initiatives.
* Lead the sourcing initiatives and provide in-depth analysis and recommendations to the investment committee
* Monitor existing and potential investment opportunity in alignment with the Product Development Committee.
* Continuous monitoring and review of the investments' performance and that of the underlying investment managers to ensure contractual, compliance, fiduciary and investment responsibilities are being met with regular reporting to the Product Development Committee.
* Manage relationships, communications and activities with assigned fund managers and communications with other Divisions and Departments to ensure efficient progress in products development is achieved
* Interact and develop relationships with business partners in the delivery channels e.g. Retail, Private Bank, Corporate etc. to identify new investment needs for each client segment.
* Gather detailed internal and external feedback in the investment opportunity and implement necessary actions to ensure alignment with investor's needs.
* Implement and execute new investment opportunities.
* Ensure suitable financial models of the targeted investments are in place and manage the final deliverables of the analysis and reports.
* Present and explain new products to wealth managers/distribution channels and participate in client meetings.
* Lead the negotiations of the payment terms for the terminated products with the investors and related parties, and ensure that they support the investment strategy.
* Facilitate the Know your client (KYC) process and documentations to ensure smooth implementation.
* In conjunction with Legal and Compliance, review, develop, scrutinize all products legal documents and suggest improvements, in order to ensure full compliance with local and offshore jurisdictions and avoid associated risks.
* Obtain proper approvals of assigned products/funds, including Product Development Committee, regulator, Compliance, Shariah board, Risk, and Legal.
* Actively participate in road shows, workshops, conferences etc. to increase knowledge and network of the marketplace.f

Requirements

Experience and Skills

* Over 10 years' experience in an investment banking firm. Must have exposure to international banking best practices.
* Strong financial modeling skills.

Educational Background

* A tertiary level qualification from an internationally recognized institution preferably with an MBA.
* A professional qualification is a plus (i.e. CFA).

Language Requirements

* Fluent in English. Arabic and other languages is a plus.
