Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a local engineering consulting firm is currently seeking to recruit a Finance Manager. You will be reporting directly to the Managing Director. This position is based in Sharjah and mobility is important in case you are required to travel abroad for specific assignments.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and manage cash flows and predict future trends.
- Manage the companys relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
- Manage bank loans and facilities.
- Review and advise management on the financial aspects of contracts.
- Assess and predict financial risks and returns.
- Conduct reviews and evaluations of cost reduction opportunities.
- Research and report on factors influencing business performance.
- Use financial modelling to analyze and forecast the financial outcomes of projects and/or capital investments.
- Coordinate and manage the annual budget process.
- Review and approve all payment transactions: payments to suppliers, reimbursements, payments on account, etc.
- Contribute to competitive bid proposals and formal presentations.
- Liaise with auditors, lawyers, financial experts, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

- Bachelor Degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
- Professional qualification (CPA/CMA/CA) or post graduate degree is a plus.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience, including 5 years in a similar role/level at a UAE/GCC based organization in the Contracting and Construction industry.
- Strong financial modeling skills.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS.
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
