Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Shareholder & Financial:
- Assists in implementing strategies to position the Group’s treasury as a major player in the corporate treasury segment.
- Assists in the achievement of set targets/ objectives, business growth and expansion for the Corporate Sales Unit.

Customer (Internal & External):
- Assists in building and maintaining strong and effective relationships with all other related units to achieve the Corporate Treasury Sales Unit goals/objectives.
- Provides timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors, the Compliance function and Group Risk as and when required.
- Assists in maintaining relationships with corporate clients.

Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):
- Performs activities to assist in the achievement of the Corporate Sales and Marketing Strategy and to meet the corporate sales budget.
- Complies with the department’s policies and procedures for conducting sales calls and visits, preparing presentation on products internally and externally, maintaining the contact database and maintaining/ collating MIS pertaining to profitability/ revenue
- Assists in developing new corporate relationships
- customers and to cross sell treasury services
- Maintains and updates the database for corporate treasury customers
- Performs calls and premise visits to existing and potential corporate customer in accordance with the Senior Dealer Corporate Sales instructions and the delegated authority to solicit additional business

- Identifies related areas for professional development of self and others.

Other:
- Ensures high standards of confidentiality and ethics to safeguard commercially sensitive information
- All other ad hoc duties and/or activities related to THE BANK that management may request of the employee from time to time.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics.
- 4-6 years treasury sales experience, preferably with corporate treasury sales

Required Special Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Exceptional presentation skills.
- Good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good knowledge of a wide range of treasury products.
- A strong customer service orientation with exceptional knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
- Proven marketing and sales skills.
- Understanding of the relevant laws, regulations and practices.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Undoubted ethical awareness and conscious of risks being undertaken.
- Profit and results driven.

Operating Environment/ Location:
- The referenced position will be based in Country and will involve liaison with the support functions at HO and the Branch.
- Will require offsite visits to clients.

- Group’s overall strategic plan.
- Budgetary/ scorecard targets.
- Applicable policies and procedures.
- Group’s limits.
- Relevant regulatory pronouncements of the applicable local and international regulators and related best practices.
- Delegated authority.
- Instructions of Senior Dealer Corporate Sales.

Communications and Working Relationships:
- Reports to the Senior Dealer Corporate Sales on an ongoing basis provide progress updates, receive instructions and guidance, resolve sales issues and receive higher approval where needed.
- Works with senior staff to ensure that treasury products and service meet customer needs and to provide adequate treasury training and knowledge.
