Talent Management & Succession Forum

Dubai, UAE
22 - 25 Mar 2015

Venue: The Address Hotel, Dubai Mall
Organiser: Informa

Overview

As regional governments impose increasingly stringent policies on employers to nationalise the workforce, the war for national talent has only intensified. A Joint Research Initiative by The MENA Labour Market Confidence Index, conceptualised and led by Informa and the Talent Enterprise, found that 72% of business and HR leaders indicated that nationalisation is a top priority.

With aggressive mandates to attract and retain top national talent, the rise in the youth population and an increased demand by the female population for participation in the workplace, the war for talent in the GCC is a new, unique and evolving battlefield with few precedents for guidance on how to prevail.

Moreover, wars are rarely won without strong leadership and the war for talent is no different. Similar to their global counterparts, CEOs in the Middle East are concerned by the dearth of capable future leaders or how to identify them.

Implementation of effective talent segmentation, career development and succession planning frameworks will therefore be imperative to business continuity and superior organisational performance.
