Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Preparing different accounting entries under the financial system submitting for approval
- Verify daily collections against system report, cashier report and bank deposit slips
- Prepare and issue Credit/Debit notes as required, ensuring all relevant supporting documents are obtained and record reasons and approvals for issuance of Credit/Debit Notes.
- Ensure credit facility terms and conditions are strictly adhered through monitoring debtor ageing on a regular basis and follow-up with clients for payments and report abnormal ageing to the reporting manager
- Coordinate directly with the clients as well as Sales Team for the documents required for processing the credit facility
- Conduct analysis of customer creditworthiness against set criteria and submit reports to reporting manager
- Prepare contracts (credit facility agreement), approval letters, etc. as per standard operating procedure and submit to reporting manager for review and approval as reporting manager
- Generate WAR (Weekly Agency Remittance) and forward to Head Office on weekly basis
- Preparing monthly Commission/Revenue Reports for demurrage, cross trade etc.
- Maintain agent accounts accurately and ensure proper and timely accounting of commissions and settling of disputes
- Carry out daily upload of receivable data from operating system to financial system.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance or Commerce with accounting focus
- 3 years of accounts receivable and general accounting experience

- Knowledge of applicable accounting systems and procedures
- Data analysis and good numerical skill
- Multi-tasking capability
- Well organized and systematic
- Attention to detail
- Good Computer skills (Excel and Word and exposure to accounting software packages)
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
