Job description / Role
Petty Cash
- Responsibility for the petty cash box.
- Keep petty cash under lock and key and lock away at night in safe.
- Petty cash to be counted and reconciled monthly.
- Ensure all the petty cash vouchers are signed and filed numerically.
- Petty cash analysis completed daily and prepared for processing into accounting system.
- Transactions processed daily into accounting system.
General Ledger
- Process the recurring vouchers.
- Post the normal journal vouchers.
- Review the General ledger.
Budgeting & costing
- Review the production daily reports
- Analyze the product cost variance
Stock control
- Supervise the stock count process
- Perform the stock adjustments
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Maintains the proper filing system.
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Assist in month-end financial statement close.
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Identify the business risks and recommend the corrective course of action.
- Involve in external annual audit process.
CUSTOMER SERVICE DUTIES:
- Continuous reconciliation with all internal and external stake holders
- Respond to vendor/supplier inquiries
- Support other accounting projects, as necessary
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Post graduate (optional)
- 5 years work experience in budgeting and costing in FMCG
