Job description / Role

JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for analyzing financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the company.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Carries out general ledger operations;
• Prepares journal entries;
• Carries out monthly closings and prepares monthly financial statements;
• Reconciles and maintains balance sheet accounts;
• Draws up monthly financial reports;
• Prepares an analysis of accounts as requested;
• Assists with end of year closings;
• Administers accounts receivable and accounts payable;
• Prepares tax, VAT computations and returns;
• Assists in preparing budgets and forecasts;
• Managing payroll administration;
• Monitors and resolves bank issues including fee anomalies and check differences;
• Carries out account/bank reconciliations;
• Reviews and processes expense reports;
• Assists in the preparation and coordination of the audit process;
• Assists in implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures;
• Respects all of the company’s internal rules, policies and procedures;
• Fills all required reports on daily, weekly, monthly and yearly bases;
• Sets a good example regarding punctuality, hygiene, attendance and attitude;
• Performs other duties in line with scope of work and as assigned by the direct manager.

Salary:
AED 5,000 to 7,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• University Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Finance, Audit or Accounting
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an accountant in retail company
• Self starter with good communication skills
• Age Range: 26-33
• Current Location: UAE
