Job description / Role
Accountant up to 7k Aed for a Technology Company in Dubai
• End to End Accounting, Revenue Recognition, Invoicing & Cash Application, Reconciliations
• Preparation and filing of VAT returns for all group companies on timely basis and following up for payments/refunds
• Maintain company’s VAT records and ensure they are fully up to date at all times
• Perform an advisory role on all tax matters and ensure implementation of best practices
• Review existing contracts, accounting systems and procedures
• Interface all VAT audits and develop VAT training materials and mentor new staff
Requirements
• POSITION: Accountant
• SALARY: up to 7,000 AED all inclusive depending on experience and qualifications

• AVAILABILITY: Can join immediately will be prioritized (1 month max)

CANDIDATE PROFILE:
• Open to Filipino and Indian nationalities
• Male/Female, 35 years old and below
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s or Higher Degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance
• Professional Qualification in Accounting/Finance
• 2-4 years of relevant work experience (minimum of 2 years in UAE)
• Experience in the Technology industry or Group of companies preferred
• Strong understanding of IFRS & International Accounting Standards
• Thorough understanding of VAT laws and its implementation in the UAE
• Experience in working on ERP packages
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily supervision
• Good team player with a knack to document workflows
