Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Currently we're looking for a talented Accounts Receivable Accountant to come and join Cummins Corporate Business Services in Dubai. This outstanding career opportunity will focus on preparing analyses and reports for the accounts receivable team and building and maintaining relationships with external customers.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides analytical support to accounts receivables team to deliver services within the established accounting policies of the organization.
- Monitors the collection process and follows up with past due accounts.
- Ensures timely release of customer orders as per the applicable policies.
- Timely records customer receipts as per defined target.
- Prepares statistical reporting, including financial performance, variance explanations, and cost analysis on receivables, receipts, and account balances as per reporting schedule.
- Makes recommendations for changes to methods and processes based on the analyses prepared.
- Resolves moderately complex accounts receivable and credit issues and problems.
- Support AR Team to meet performance targets.
- Prepares details for month end sales reversal for branches for parts and service departments.
- Overlooks the cash transaction in the branches and ensures timely receipts and bank transfer entries as per SLA requirements.
- Supports AR Leader in ensuring effective communication with business management and global AR leaders.
- Supports AR leader in regular presentations and meetings with operations teams.
- Recommends changes in methods and procedures to improve the efficiency of the accounts receivable unit.
- Executes special projects as assigned.
- Travels locally within Cummins offices and to customers within short limited timeframes (builds and maintains relationships with external customers, other Finance disciplines and work teams).

Requirements

- College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field equivalent related work experience required.
- Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification - an asset.
- Minimum of 2-4 years in accounting and finance function required.
- Experience in a multinational corporation – an asset.

- Ability to learn fast.
- Not afraid of making suggestions regarding improvements to ensure the right efficiency of the process.
- Fluent English skills.
- Arabic skills – an asset.
