Charterhouse are currently working with a well-established consultancy and risk management client, whom are in the process of looking to hire an Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant, based within their Abu Dhabi operation.

This role shall oversee all aspects of client invoicing and controllership, across project teams, to ensure accurate, timely and supported all billing matters and invoicing requirements. In conjunction, this Accountant shall also handle collection cycles, aligned to both contractual and work-in-progress agreements, whilst ensuring the required booking and revenue recognition accounting entries are undertaken.

This AR Accountant shall also undertake all reconciliation processes across the ledgers whilst overseeing any invoice variances or discrepancies within the invoicing system. In partnership of the management accounting team, this role also provides support to the cash flow projection along with providing insight to collection targets and any delinquent accounts.

Requirements

The client will look to recruit a degree qualified and/or part-qualified Accountant, whom is able to demonstrate a track record within an AR focused role, spanning both collections and an understanding of the required accounting principles linking to entries and any financial reporting aspects.

The successful candidate shall be expected to understand complex business and collection cycles, whilst also being able to manage both internal and external stakeholders, with an ability to provide precise reporting and follow-up MIS as required. The client envisages hiring a candidate from within a service-based sector and/or organisation; whereby areas of project accounting, work-in-progress and revenue recognition tracking tools are understood within the overall AR process of best practice.
