Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Ensure the departmental operations manual including policies, procedures and task-lists as well as Government Regulations is followed
- Ensure all subordinates are aware of and follow the operations manual, providing training as appropriate
- Monitor the actual versus target Accounts Receivable Outstanding Days figure and work with the team (and others) to be better than the target
- Prepare Invoices to debtors, based on complete and accurate information
- Make sure Invoices are received from other departments on a timely basis, check that the Invoices are complete and accurate with all required supporting documentation attached
- Visit Debtors as required in order to resolve queries, follow-up on outstanding amounts and generally to maintain a good working relationship
- Monitor credit terms and follow-up with Debtors to ensure receipts are received by the due date, preferably by Bank transfer or via delivery, courier or other
- Ensure travel agency commissions are correctly calculated and recorded and where applicable, deducted from remittances or paid
- Monthly Statements
- Prepare and distribute reports on a timely basis, highlight and investigate major variances
- Post to the General Ledger, prepare month-end reports and review with the Credit Manager, prior to distribution
- Ensure various systems and reports are maintained and highlighted for key performance indicators
- Ensure any required General Ledger postings are prepared on a timely basis
- Assist as required with the month-end Accounts process to ensure the Accounts are prepared within the required timetable and are as accurate as possible

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree
- Hospitality experience
- Preference of experience in job required
- Strong analytical skills
- Understanding of business/financial analysis
- Technical understanding of business planning processes
- The position requires managing demanding deadlines
- Extensive experience working in Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
