Administration Manager

Emirates British Nursery, one of the leading nurseries in the UAE is looking for a Administration Manager to join the team.

Emirates British Nursery was founded in Dubai in the year 2000. Since those early days the nursery has grown and developed with maintaining the underlying principle of providing the highest quality childcare and pre-school education.

The Administration Manager is responsible for the daily running and administration of the nursery whilst ensuring that the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently on a daily basis.

Some specific areas the Administration Manager will be responsible for are:
- Parent Teacher Association
- Yearly admissions processes
- Overseeing transport department
- Annual Fairs and Charitable Events and other parent events
- Maintenance of the nursery
- Staff Notice Board

The job duties and accountabilities of this position are as below:
- Commitment to the Ethos and confidentiality of Emirates British Nursery
- Assisting he Headmistress to ensure a tier system of management is in place and that duties are delegated fairly whilst maintaining staff ratios and ensuring staff are deployed effectively to carry out the correct duties
- Planning and preparation of termly class timetables and activities for the children’s individual development
- Plan and implement early and late class procedure including termly timetables as well as the academic events calendar of events across all 3 nurseries
- Maintaining National Standards File and Municipality Health and Safety Standards
- Recruitment of new staff, advertise, source CV’s and organize interviews together with HR, as well as handling all HR matters with the HR department
- Assist the headmistress to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, as well as assisting with confidential secretarial service to the headmistresses as needed. This will include typing correspondence, handling telephone calls and queries, and designing and maintaining efficient filing and IT systems
- Care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs
- Greeting parents throughout the day and liaising with all parents as needed regarding any queries and showing around for registrations
- Show around municipality inspector and ensure municipality file is up-to-date and all contracts renewed
- Ensuring that the preparation, care, cleanliness and maintenance of the nursery playrooms. Kitchen and equipment are carried out according to the policies and procedures
- Work closely with accounts to ensure all financial issues are addressed and the budget for stock is set

Reporting to: Area Headmistress

Requirements

- Preferably degree educated
- Previous experience in Education and Admin Management
- Excellent communication, both written and spoken, in English. Arabic is an advantage
- Effective planning, organisational and time management skills
- High level of commitment and loyalty
