Analytics & Geospatial Director

Job description / Role

We are seeking a Director of Analytics & Geo-Space for a client of ours which is a Global Consulting Firm.

This role is based in Dubai.

The candidate for this role:
• Ability to demonstrate thought leadership in the areas of AI, Analytics and relevant data topics like Enterprise Intelligence and/or Location Intelligence
• Capability to recognize prospective business possibilities for the group to develop or promote new analytics-driven products and services for our clients in the Middle East area.
• Ability to position and convey key digital innovation led value added propositions to clients across sectors.
• An experienced solution architect to address client needs in the areas of data and analytics
• Assisting clients across a variety of sectors by working in multidisciplinary teams and utilizing analytics and data to improve their operations.
• Help the Data Analytics team enhance our brand by participating in pertinent events, working with other internal teams, creating thought leadership, etc.
• Actively develop, preserve, and improve connections with both internal and external parties.
• Managing varied teams that employ various Data and Analytics tools and have a range of skill levels.
• Foster a culture of learning where junior team members are coached, counselled, and given opportunities to grow.

Requirements

The candidate should have:
• Significant managerial experience in analytics and digital led consulting or similar relevant field
• Experience of 15+ years involved in hands-on digital transformation and analytics consulting
• Proven ability to manage budgets, customer expectations, deliver high-quality projects on schedule, effectively communicate, and develop others.
• Capability to convey the value of analytics and data to clients
• A desire to improve your abilities and skills on a constant basis
• Possess an analytical mindset and the capacity to acquire and use new information and methods to provide insights and address issues.
• Able to function in a variety of changing and dynamic client contexts
• Significant expertise in any or all phases of the data analytics lifecycle, including Data Management, ETL, Data Marts, and Data Manipulation
• Expertise in data visualization using a few key technologies/platforms
