Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As an Anatomical Pathologist, you will supervise the technical performance of the technicians in performing various medical lab tests to obtain data for use by physician in the diagnosis.

You will also be responsible for the delivery of the highest quality of clinical pathology (medical laboratory services).

Key Outputs:
- Ensure the accuracy of the results of the required tests before issuing them.
- Supervise the internal quality assurance program
- Ensure reliable laboratory results are generated from sections
- Ensure laboratory requests are appropriate and following Evidence Based Medicine guidelines and Clinical Practice

Guidelines authorized by the Hospital:
- Participating in establishing Clinical Practice Guideline in cooperation with involved clinical specialties
- Interpretation of abnormal, complex or special test results
- Investigate and take timely and appropriate action in response to non-conformities, complaints conflicts and Incident

Reports:
- Actively and effectively perform procedures as privileged in the Hospital and in consistent with your credentials
- To provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for health promotion, disease prevention, treatment of disease, and care at the end of life
- To be aware of established and evolving biomedical, clinical, and social sciences, and the application of knowledge to patient care and the education of other
- To follow practice-based learning and improvement - using scientific evidence and methods to investigate, to evaluate, and to improve patient care practices.
- To have interpersonal and communication skills - that enable one to establish and to maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and other members of health care teams.
- To demonstrate professionalism that is reflected in a commitment to continuous professional development, ethical practice, an understanding and sensitivity to diversity, and a responsible attitude toward patients, your profession, and society.
- To follow system-based practices - through the understanding of the contexts and systems in which health care is provided.
- Actively participate in Department meetings, committee and task force teams as advised by the Head of the

Department/Medical Director:
- Be proficient in training junior staff as required.
- Continuously adhere to Al Noor Hospital Dress Code and Grooming Policy for medical professionals.
- Effectively follow the Department and Hospital Policies & Procedures and Quality Standards.
- Actively participate in other relevant activities as advised by Head of the Department/Medical Director.
- Consistently adhere to Department's duty schedule and on-call schedule.
- Adhere to the organizations code of ethics and by-laws
- Report timely the adverse events as per the organization's policies.
- Respect and implement patient and family rights.
- Adhere to Infection Control and Health & Safety measures.
- Be actively involved in the quality improvement activities within the Department.

Requirements

- Must be Board certified / Arab board certified is accepted
- Licensed as an Anatomical Pathologist
- HAAD, DHA licensed or exempted from the HAAD exam
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Critical Thinking Skills
- Presentable and professional attitude
- Able to effectively work under pressure
- Able to relate to people from different cultural backgrounds
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
