Anesthesia Technician

Job description / Role

- Responsible for setting up, check and maintain anesthetic workstations, life support machines and associated equipment.
- Order and prepare medical supplies for anesthesia.
- Assist the anesthetist to insert breathing tubes and intravascular lines in patients.
- Assist the anesthetist to administer anesthesia to patients.
- Watch patients and monitor their vital signs before, during and after procedure.
- Assist the Anesthetist in emergencies.
- Adhere to Infection Control and Health and Safety measures.
- Be actively involved in the quality improvement activities within the Department.

Requirements

- HAAD/DHA/MOH Licensed.
- Minimum of 2 years experience post Bachelor Degree in Anesthesia Technology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English language; knowledge of Arabic is preferred.
- Organized and able to work methodically.
- Presentable and professional attitude.
- Able to effectively work under pressure.
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate a professional team.
- Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Able to relate to people from different cultural backgrounds.
