Job description / Role
We are seeking an experienced API Inspector to join our team in the oil and gas industry in UAE. The API Inspector will be responsible for ensuring compliance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards and performing inspections on equipment and processes to maintain safety and quality standards in the oil and gas facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting inspections on equipment, structures, and processes in accordance with API standards and regulations.
- Performing non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques such as ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, and dye penetrant testing.
- Reviewing and interpreting inspection reports, and making recommendations for repairs or replacements as needed.
- Collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure compliance and address any issues identified during inspections.
- Maintaining accurate records of inspections, testing results, and any maintenance or repair activities.
- Participating in safety meetings and promoting a culture of safety and compliance with API standards.
Requirements
- Certification as an API 510, 570, or 653 Inspector is required.
- Proven experience in conducting inspections and non-destructive testing in the oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with API standards and regulations relevant to oil and gas facilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory requirements in the oil and gas industry.
