Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Area Sales Manager - West Africa

CORE DUTIES:
- Build communication, establish and develop sales within the assigned region
- Developing new business and enhancing existing customers’ relationships
- Follow up with existing customers on new orders and payments
- Reaching the targets and goals set for your area
- Coordinate with other departments in regards to orders status and prompt deliveries
- Analyze weekly sales data of various categories and subcategories.
- Monitor customers’ stock report /sales report on regular basis
- Conduct market visits and be always update the management on the market condition and competitors activities.
- Follow up with the distributers and ensure that products are displayed well according to the planogram (where applicable).
- Manage the sales and marketing budgets within given guidelines and ensure that budget is utilization is optimized (where applicable).

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Participate in preparing business plans to identify and develop new sales opportunities
- Implement sales and distribution plans to meet company’s strategy and achieve distribution targets
- Carry out market research activities in assigned region
- Keeping up to date with products and competitors
- Liaise with the marketing department and facilitate their objectives achievements.
- Flexible to travel as per business needs.
- Prepare presentations and share with the clients/distributors on ways and means to improve business.

CUSTOMER SERVICE DUTIES:
- Develop strong relationships with clients to explore possible commercial opportunities
- Monitoring your team's performance and motivating them to reach targets
- Collecting customer feedback and market research

Requirements

- University Degree
- 3 years work experience within FMCG, preferably Food FMCG

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Excellent communication skills - French (must), English and Arabic (preferable)
- Able to managing major accounts customers and large contracts
- Good planner and decision maker
- Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance responsibility and accountability
- Able to get on with others and be a team-player.
- Computer skills
