Job description / Role
- Oversee and manage the staff at designated pharmacies to ensure achievement of profits through adaptation of adequate business practices.
- Establish standards of professional service to be adopted at the pharmacies and ensure staff adherence to set standards.
- Manage and train staff to enable development of positive business relationships with customers and suppliers at pharmacy level to achieve growth.
- Ensure smooth operations of each designated pharmacy by ensuring no stock outs and implementing best practices to achieve operational goals.
Focus on key areas of pharmacy management, customer service, pharmacy sales and professional development.
- Manage the sell-in and sell-out as well as all commercial deals with the pharmacy chains across the GCC
- Manage the trade marketing activities with key accounts such as product launches, promotions, brand visibility and in-store events
- Analyze the profitability of the brand per store/country, stock analysis, forecasts and generate sales reports and carry out competitor analysis.
- Ensure timely visits to the pharmacies are made as per pre-determined schedule to visit staff at the pharmacy and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
- Build and maintain relationships with the other departments for smooth functioning of drug store operations and loss prevention.
- Monitor staff performance and ensure appropriate staffing levels at each pharmacy.
- Consolidate and analyze daily sales reports to check compliance with set targets and provide inputs to improve sales.
- Conduct sales analysis to compare and contrast with sales history, and establish new targets with a vision to bring about growth.
- Manage and plan annual leaves of assigned staff to ensure that appropriate staff numbers are maintained at each pharmacy outlet and avoid collision of leaves.
- Manage Over-Time and Compensation-offs with a view to maximize staff utilization and minimize Over-Time expenses; periodic calculation of Over Time for assigned staff members.
- Measure staff performance to calculate incentives as per the Incentive Policy.
- Draft weekly plan for designated pharmacies and communicate with the Operations Manager.
- Compile daily activity reports and liaison with the Operations Manager for all requirements on a daily basis.
- Ensure smooth handling of maintenance for each pharmacy and follow up till completion.
Requirements
- Must have Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
- Preferably holder of Master's degree
- UAE experience handling pharmacy operations preferred
- Must have prior management and leadership experience
- Knowledge of UAE pharmaceutical industry
