Job description / Role
Asset Management Engineer - Water - Abu Dhabi
The principal function of this position is to work, win and deliver the Asset Management process consulting and business compliance with the PAS-55/ISO-55000 competency framework.
- Key targets will be set for work-winning and team growth.
- Undertake individual commissions of work for internal or external clients, working solely or as part of a team, often leading or steering the project team
- Contribute and enhance and promote the technical expertise in the subject areas held by all the team
- Work with sales and bid teams to develop new client relationships, build a prospect pipeline and win new opportunities.
- Prepare, update and enhance asset management processes and procedures.
- Align asset management plans to client's organizational strategy.
- Thorough understanding of asset management processes and competency frameworks, and the associated maturity development techniques.
- Good understanding of other aspects of asset management.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with key clients.
- Support in business development activities.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, advanced degree is a plus (engineering / asset management / business management).
- 10 to 15 years professional experience in infrastructure sector with 3-5 years in water/wastewater asset life-cycle planning and cost/risk optimization.
- Knowledge of PAS-55 and ISO 55000 is desired.
- Proven capability and experience of establishing good working relationships internally and externally.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels within a client organization.
- Self-starter with a capacity and ability for joined-up thinking and task prioritization.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a dynamic team.
- Knowledge of the GCC market is desired.
- Arabic language is a plus but not required.
