Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Negotiate and update air and sea tariff on daily/weekly/monthly basis after obtaining the same from origin agents and various carrier .
- Arrange in preparation of insurance quotes and issue insurance online through AXA as appropriate for all customers as per request.
- Liaise/coordinate with sales team, partners/agents, customers and other service providers for all jobs being handled.
- Forward – RR rates request, sales leads, prepare quotations, status report and routing confirmation, when ever request is made by various department personnel or Sales/CSU personnel in order to assist.
- Follow - up with all existing customers, lost customers and potential customers for new business and new areas of business through telephone sales calls and update on call list and forward to BD team for further follow-up or joint sales visit if required.
- Update buy and sell charges for invoicing and charges costing information live on systems, initial overseas agents / carriers invoices obtain approval from Department Manager and forward to accounts for settlement on daily- weekly- monthly basis.
- Forward daily updates to individual customers on shipment status, arrivals, documents status, etc with final release or clearance requirements.
- Monitoring delivery order counter for release & filing manifest notification for all shipments (checking on cash/credit consignees and rates, invoicing customers and collecting charges as agreed or debited.)
- Coordinate import and export handling operations including clearances, collections of documents and booking shipments on time and forwarding the documents as appropriate.
- Monitoring shipments and follow up with the airlines /shipping lines/transporters/agents as appropriate.

Requirements

- Graduate
- 1 or 2 years in Freight Forwarding Customer will be added advantage

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- At least 2 years in International Freight Forwarding or shipping/airline industry
- Customs Documentation
- Import/Export Documentation AIR/SEA/LAND – Cross Trade
- Leading the team with set targets
- Collecting report on status updates, customer profiles and trade line statistics

INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE: Shipping/CSU experience will be added advantage
