Assistant Head Teacher - Secondary

GEMS Cambridge International School is seeking exceptional educational leaders to join our Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Head Teacher. These key roles will support the strategic direction and operational excellence of our vibrant secondary school, fostering an environment of academic rigour, student support, and continuous improvement.

We are looking for talented and driven individuals with a passion for education and a commitment to driving positive change. The successful candidates will work closely with the Heads of School, Deputy Heads, and fellow Assistant Heads to ensure the effective implementation of our vision and the delivery of high-quality education to our diverse student community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic support to the Deputy Heads in leading and overseeing critical areas such as curriculum development, instructional excellence, student support, inclusion, operations, and resource management.
- Collaborate with department heads, subject coordinators, and teaching staff to enhance curriculum design, assessment practices, and instructional methodologies.
- Analyse data to inform decision-making, identify areas for improvement, and monitor the effectiveness of interventions and initiatives.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes student well-being, social-emotional learning, and personal growth.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational plans to ensure efficient and effective school operations.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents, community organisations, and external stakeholders.
- Provide instructional leadership, coaching, and professional development opportunities for teachers.
- Participate in the school's self-evaluation process and contribute to the development of improvement plans.

Requirements

Requirements:

- Proven leadership experience in an educational setting as a Middle Leader or above, with a deep understanding of curriculum, instruction, and student support services, high standards of safeguarding.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and a passion for educational excellence.
- Relevant teaching qualifications and experience.
