Assistant Manager - Air Services

Job description / Role

- Ensure optimal efficiency in daily operations of all Air Freight services activities including Sea Air
- The primary role is to develop Air Freight business and ensure department profitability
- Work closely with Department Manager to achieve budget, targets & minimize expenses.
- Liaise with Clients and Agents and Carriers to ensure excellent service levels
- Overview of all Air Services staff and operations, working with supervisor & senior assistant
- Ensure correct selection of carriers, correct handling of general, dangerous and perishable cargoes
- Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers.
- Ensure all reports are done within the stipulated time in coordination with Manager.
- Ensure Air-Services representation in all inter- departmental meeting
- Facilitate smooth flow of communication with Overseas Agents and inter - departments.

Requirements

- 7-8 in Airfreight industry or any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of two years as supervisor/junior management Industry related courses (IATA)
