Job Description
The Department of Cognitive Science (Psychology Program), United Arab Emirates University, announces a position at the Assistant Professor level to begin 1st August 2021. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence at undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise, publish his/her research findings in refereed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University.
The application package should include a detailed resume, a brief description of current/future research activities, teaching philosophy, and courses taught. English is the language of instruction and communication. Screening of applications will continue until the position is filled.
Requirements
Minimum Qualification
Qualified candidates will have a doctoral degree in psychology, or equivalent, from an APA approved program and will have completed post-doctoral training. Duties involve teaching, conducting research, advising students and serving on dissertation committees. All teaching is delivered in English. Therefore, native or near-native English is required.

The position will be of interest to those with expertise in the following areas: Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Statistical Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Neuropsychology, Experimental Psychology, Personality Psychology, Culturally Sensitive Therapy, Cultural Sensitivity in Clinical Psychology, Psychopathology, Early Childhood Development, Intellectual Assessment, Advanced Quantitative/ Qualitative expertise, Arab Psychology.
