Assistant Relationship Manager

Job description / Role

Our client a leading bank based in Dubai is seeking to appoint a Assistant Relationship Manager to join their Corporate Banking division. Based in Dubai this is a great opportunity to progress your career within Corporate Banking.

THE ROLE
- Perform credit analysis, support client management and handle small clients under supervision
- Manage small portfolio of clients make certain client needs are delivered and a high quality of service is provided
- Identify sales opportunities and directly engage with clients or with a senior colleague
- Formulate credit applications, analyzing and checking applications, guarantee all information is correct and inputted in the correct format.
- Engage with the client in ensuring information supporting the application is precise
- Organize submissions for credit committees and handle requests for clarification and supplementary information, whilst keeping the client updated throughout the process
- Process documents to set up facilities through engaging with client on collateral etc.
- Monitor compliance with limits, liaise with clients on issues and take corrective action.
- Handle remedial accounts primarily, then transfer documentation etc.
- Make sure MIS is accurate and confirm it is used accurately in analyzing portfolio performance

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (or equivalent experience
- Professional banking qualifications
- MUST be currently based in the UAE. Applicants not based in the UAE will NOT be contacted
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) both in English and Arabic. (Mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate banking as credit analyst
- Experience of supporting larger clients
- Experience in credit analysis, credit review and portfolio management

KNOWLEDGE
- Understanding of corporate banking products and services
- Knowledge of banking and credit risk principles and processes
