Job description / Role
WTS Energy is looking for an Emirati national Assistant Safety Manager to work for a permanent role in Dubai. The client is a national oil company.
Job Purpose:
- To assist the senior manager and manager of global safety and environment in all duties involving safety and environment that would support the implementation of the company policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conducts fatal risk standards assessments in Business Units and gives support and guidance in their implementation.
- Provide guidance and support to the 8 regions within the company involving safety and environmental advice in supporting the objective of the company
- Assists in investigations all fatalities and major incidents that have occurred in the company and provide recommendations for prevention of further fatalities
- Assists in full Safety & Environment audits on all terminals in line with the company protocol
- Support all Business units in matters of improving safety and the environment
- Follows up on audit and fatality investigations to ensure recommendations are closed out
Job Context:
- As assistant manager in the GSE team this person is in a development stage to the level of manager and needs to be very proactive in giving advice to business units, providing the Bu with support and tools required to implement the FRS and the global SMS. He will deal with all questions brought up by the regions and ensure that they are dealt with by him/herself or a more senior manager.
Requirements
- Must be of UAE national
- Minimum NEBOSH qualification in safety
- Minimum of 2 years terminal experience
